Faktor Budaya Patriarki dalam Kasus Kekerasan pada Perempuan di Lembaga Rifka Anissa Yogyakarta: Implikasinya terhadap Konseling Krisis

Abstract

This journal article discusses the role of stigma and patriarchal culture in cases of violence against women at the Rifka Anissa Foundation. Using qualitative approach, data was collected through interviews and direct observation with legal and psychological counselors at the foundation. The results show that patriarchal culture exacerbates the powerlessness of female victims of violence, who find it difficult to report the cases they experience. The implications of this patriarchal culture greatly influence the implications of crisis counseling at Rifka Anissa, where counselors must provide immediate assistance to victims to restore their empowerment. The crisis counseling process is carried out through structured stages, with the counselor's role being more active and directed. The main goal of crisis counseling is to prevent more serious problems and help individuals overcome their crises. Thus, crisis counseling at Rifka Anissa is an important part of their efforts to overcome violence against women and build a more gender-equitable society.
