Abstract

Hizmet Humanitarian Movement in Indonesia 2005-2013. The humanitarian movement has become a movement that is not only limited to one country, but also in various countries. The hizmet movement is a transnational humanitarian movement that existed before being banned by the Turkish government in 2017. This paper aims to discuss the 2005-2013 hizmet humanitarian movement in Indonesia. This research is library research using a qualitative method. The praxis and discourse approaches were chosen by prioritizing a critical discourse view. The data analysis technique uses Miles and Huberman theory. The results show that the hizmet humanitarian movement in Indonesia carries the theme of Islam. This movement has economic independence through associations of businessmen, the development of criticism through education, and makes dialogue as a means for conflict resolution and brotherhood. The hizmet humanitarian movement is a movement that has a service ideology and adopts Islamic values. This ideology puts forward ignorance, poverty, and conflict as common enemies that must be fought. This movement then established humanitarian institutions in the form of educational institutions, social institutions, economic institutions, and relations between universities. They are members of PASIAD Indonesia, Turkish Indonesian Trade Association (TITA), Fethullah Gulen Chair, and dershane.
