Spiritualitas Pendakwah Mualaf Tionghoa Perspektif Multi Identitas dan Moderasi Beragama

Abstract


This paper is intended to describe the spirituality of the Chinese Muslim converts in Jakarta during the opportunities and challenges of disruptive da'wah, multiple identities, and discourses of religious moderation. Recognition of the existence of Muslim Chinese Muslim converts to Islam in the context of a minority during the majority of Indonesian Muslims reaps the pros and cons of academics and practitioners of da'wah. This research is a study of the phenomenon of the preacher of ethnic Chinese Muslim community who became a convert to preachers for the Muslim convert community in Jakarta. This research is qualitative research with descriptive analysis. The data is collected by triangulation. The results of the study stated that there are balanced characteristics of the spirituality of the Chinese Muslim converts, namely (1) high self-confidence in preaching through integrated learning academically and non-academically, as students as well as formal students; (2) social interaction with other community organizations such as Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah without any distinction, all those present are accepted and served under the auspices of the Chinese ethnic community, the Haji Karim Oei Foundation (YHKI) Jakarta within the framework of Indonesians, Islam, and ethnicity.

Pengamatan peneliti selama berada di lokasi masjid Lautze Jakarta antara 2016 sampai 2018.
