Analisis Kemampuan Literasi Numerasi Siswa Kelas X SMA Kartika 1-5 Padang dalam Menyelesaikan Soal Cerita Sistem Persamaan Linear Tiga Variabel

Abstract


The issue at SMA Kartika 1-5 Padang indicates that students' numeracy literacy skills are relatively low, especially in solving story problems involving systems of linear equations with three variables. This is evident from common errors in the use of numbers, mathematical symbols, and in the analysis and conclusions drawn by the students. Therefore, a more in- depth analysis of the numeracy literacy skills of 10th-grade students is necessary. This study aims to determine and describe these skills in solving story problems related to systems of linear equations with three variables. The research is descriptive and employs qualitative methods. Results show that the average numeracy literacy skills of students are categorized as moderate. Three main indicators of numeracy literacy skills were identified: a) the use of numbers and mathematical symbols to solve problems, b) the analysis of information in the problems, and c) the interpretation of analysis results for decision-making. Students' abilities varied across indicators: those with high skills met all criteria, while those with moderate and low skills were only able to meet the indicator of analyzing information in the problems.Keywords: numeracy literacy, story problems, systems of linear equations with three variables.
